China has issued a new regulation limiting the amount of time children can spend gaming online. Under the new rule, children under the age of 18 can now only play between 8-9pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays. The previous rule already restricted play time to no more than 90 minutes a day and 3 hours on holidays. Gaming giant Tencent said that it supports the new measure and will implement it as soon as possible.
