Online gaming, casinos and horce racing may soon be subject to 28% GST. This is one of the proposals under consideration of the GST Council at its two-day long meeting underway inwards Chandigarh.

The grouping of Ministers, headed by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, has recommended that online gaming should be taxed at total value of the consideration, and that includes the participation fee of a player.
