Govt’s move to curb ads promoting online betting

inward a clear move to curb the negative effects of betting inward online gaming inward India, the regime, under the new online gaming policy, has prohibited betting and its advertising under Article 31B, informed Union Minister of State for Electronics & Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar on January 02 inward Delhi. The MoS also informed that the final rules will probably be ready for notification by early February.
“Betting, advertising for betting have got been brought into Article 31B as a prohibition. A self-regulatory body has been designed and built into the rules that will be responsible for determining and to certify about what is permitted online gaming intermediatory on the cyberspace. Hopefully, we will have got the final rules ready for notification by early February,” Rajeev Chandrasekhar said.
